Pre-TT set for Sunday racing

by isleofman.com 30th March 2007
The Southern 100 Club has confirmed the Pre-T.T. Classic main race day will be on Sunday 27th May - a day earlier than scheduled.

This is to avoid a clash with the T.T. re-enactment at St. John's on Monday 28th May, after concerns were expressed over traffic management, emergency service and marshal cover, if both events went ahead at the same time.

Special legislation had to be passed in Tynwald for the appropriate Road Closing Order.

Roads around the Billown Circuit will remain open in the morning to allow church services to go ahead. They will close between 1.30pm and 4.25pm.......and from 5.10pm to 8pm at the latest.
