Wins for Cummins and Rockwell

Manx motorcycle rider Conor Cummins claimed a first and second place in the 600cc race at Bishopscourt in Ireland on Easter Saturday.

In the same contest Nigel Beattie was tenth in race one and 15th in race two.

Conor also claimed a fifth and seventh position in the Superbike race, and was sixth in the Enkalon Trophy.

Local rider Gavin Hunt was in action at the opening British Superbike Championship event at Brands Hatch.

He came third in the National Superstock Cup after starting on the fourth row.

Meanwhile, local youth motocross rider and Sports Aid Recipient Alex Rockwell won the first round of the British Youth Motocross Championships at Desertmartin in Northern Ireland at the weekend.

Rocky qualified in second position and went on to record a third, second and two wins in four races to place him first overall.

He will be heading to Culham in Oxford in two weeks time for the second round of the championships.
