Easter Shooting Festival results

Michelle Smith of Yorkshire won the 60 shot prone event at the Sinclair Range in St Johns with the best performance of the weekend. She shot 595- two less than last year, which was a world record matching effort.

Emma Sigourney of Southampton University was second.

In the three position match John Croydon of Wales was first in the men's event, and Sharon Lee of England won the women's class.

In the air rifle competition at Onchan Youth and Community Centre, Gordon Cox of Aberdeen was the best shooter on the day, and Martin Caley of Laxey won the air pistol event.

In a range of events at the Slieu Lhost range, Martin Cowley and Geoff Mitchell of local club, Peveril, performed best.

This year, organisers were boosted by the news the rifle section had been chosen as one of four Great Britain selection shoots.
