Crucial day for Manx footballers

by isleofman.com 21st April 2007
The Isle of Man national side need to beat Northern Ireland this afternoon, and hope the other result goes in their favour, in order to qualify for the final stages of the UEFA Regions Cup.

The Manx, England's representatives in the competition, have beaten the hosts the Czech Republic, but lost to Slovakia in the first game. Both Northern Ireland and Slovakia have one more point going into the final round of matches.

Manager Kevin Manning says they have to concentrate on today's fixture and hope for a little luck elsewhere:-
