Dougie Lampkin came fourth at round two of the World Outdoor Trials Championship in Guatemala.
It was the first time the championship had visited, and riders discovered conditions were very hot and humid. This made the sections even more difficult as they were all located in river beds; some dried out and some still flowing.
Lampkin finished day one in fourth position, after a close fought battle with Adam Raga and Albert Cabestany.
On day two, Lampkin was on better form and was one of three who cleaned a treacherous earth-bank climb. By the end of the first lap, he was neck and neck with Adam Raga and Tony Bou.
The second lap was also very close, although Lampkin ended the day on equal points with team mate Takahisa Fujinami in third place, dropping to fourth on fewer cleaned sections.
After two round, Lampkin is fourth overall, nineteen points behind leader Tony Bou.
