Kennaugh back in pole

by isleofman.com 6th May 2007
Cycling - Manx rider Peter Kennaugh has regained the Yellow Jersey in the Junior class of the Isle of Man Youth Tour. He won yesterday morning's road race in the west of the island, but was penalised 10 seconds for taking a wrong turn around a roundabout. This penalty deprived him of the lead, but he regained it at last night's Douglas Kermesse with a battling third place.

Going into today's Port Erin Kermesse, Kennaugh is not alone in hoping for a win on home soil. Caroline O'Neill wears the Pink Jersey as leader of the Women's Junior Race. And Christopher Whorrall holds a slender advantage in the Youth "A" Class.

Congratulations also to Matthew Bostock who took a stage victory in the Youth "D" Class around the streets of Douglas last night.
