by isleofman.com 12th May 2007
St. Mary’s ended a disappointing week on a high by thrashing already relegated Marown 11-1 in OSA Division One on Saturday.

Leading scorer Steven Priestnal led the rout with a FIVE goal haul, helped by strike partner Martin Reilly who hit a hat-trick.

There were also goals for Peter Langridge, Frank Jones and John Quirk as the Saints romped to victory in their penultimate league match.

Kevin Druggan scored the consolation for Marown in the first half.

Corinthians are celebrating after pulling off one of the shocks of the season.

A Brett Armitage goal gave the CFS Combination Two side a 1-0 victory over Combination One outfit Ayre United in the final of the JCK Junior Cup at the Bowl on Friday night.

It's the third time Corinthians have defeated higher opposition having claimed the scalps of Douglas Royal and Ramsey in previous rounds.
