by isleofman.com 23rd May 2007
Isle of Man-based companies won ten awards out of a total 14 award categories in this year’s International Investment Fund and Product Awards.

In four awards, five local companies were ‘highly commended’.

Notably, AXA Isle of Man, Fairbairn Private Bank and Royal Skandia were declared winners in two categories each, while Anglo Irish Bank (Isle of Man), Lloyds TSB Offshore, HSBC Bank and Britannia International each won a category.

Other Island businesses that were recognised and ‘Highly Commended’ include Bradford & Bingley and Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander International.
Treasury Minister Allan Bell MHK (pictured) says the awards also endorse the Isle of Man’s financial services industry, the leading segment of our thriving economy, and further enhance the Isle of Man’s reputation as a centre of excellence.

Across all sectors the Island pays particular attention to quality of service, value for money, innovation and speed of response, enabling it to be positioned at the forefront of the global arena.’
