Cavendish going well in Spain

by isleofman.com 24th May 2007
Despite having a tough time on Stage three of the Tour of Catalunya yesterday, local cycling sensation Mark Cavendish remains in a strong position in the points classification.

After causing a sensation on Tuesday by claiming victory in his first ever full ProTour stage, Cav (pictured) struggled over the gruelling 182km Perafort to Tarrega section.

However, despite finishing towards the back of the field on the day, he is fourth in the points standings, his specialist area.

Today sees the riders tackle Stage 4, Tarrega Vallnord to Arinsal in Andorra, which is described by Mark's T-Mobile team website as a '203km suffer-fest'.
