Retailer overcomes staff loss

The managing director of CI Newsagents is confident about the TT despite losing a sizeable chunk of his workforce when the International Hotel School closed.

Mel Warrender says roughly a fifth of his staff were students who had to leave the Island after the college collapsed.

At first he thought he might have to close some Pickwicks stores, but his worries have now eased and his workers have stepped up to the challenge:
