Isle of Man resident and Bee Gee Robin Gibb has been made one of the leaders of a campaign by musicians against the United Kingdom’s copyright laws.
Performers currently get royalties for 50 years, after which time they lose their copyright.
But Robin says that period should be extended to life.
Other musicians such as Ciff Richard have launched a battle to extend copyright, and Robin has now been appointed president of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers.
The umbrella body represents more than two and a half million artists worldwide.
