Terry Waite to visit Island

by isleofman.com 12th June 2007
Terry Waite has been named as the next big-name guest for the Isle of Man Sporting and Dining Club.

Mr Waite was taken hostage by the Islamic Jihad in Beirut in the late 1980s and held for almost five years, four of those in solitary confinement, before being released in 1991.

The event takes place at the Mount Murray Hotel and Country Club next month.

It was originally scheduled for Thursday, July 26 but has been brought forward a week to July 19.
