Wins for Gumbley and Cowen

Edward Gumbley won Tuesday night's Great South Run.

He finished in a time of 35.21m, 24 seconds ahead of Michael Garrett in second.

Kevin Vondy and Andy Watson did battle for third spot, with Kevin just edging it.

Tom Cringle, second in Saturday's fell race at Glen Mona, was fifth.

Samantha Cowen was the first lady home, 19th overall and she was followed by Sarah Nelson in 24th overall.

Gail Griffiths was third, Christine O'Hanlon fourth and Nicky Willingham fifth.
