Race for Life

by isleofman.com 16th June 2007
More than 500 women are expected to take part in today’s (Sunday) Isle of Man Race for Life.

It’s the local effort in Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life, a five kilometre walk, run or jog for women of all ages.

The event, now in its seventh year at the National Sports Centre in Douglas, starts at two o’clock.

It raises funds for research to prevent, treat and cure all types of cancer.

Organisers are appealing for volunteers to act as marshals.

They’re needed between one o’clock and 3pm and, anyone interested is asked to meet at the NSC grandstand or ring Andy Fox on 495830.
