Melanoma advice

Early detection is the key to treating skin cancer, so people need to keep an eye out for any changes to moles, as well as taking the usual precautions in the sun.

That's according to Simon Stock, a Consultant General Surgeon at Noble's Hospital.

He says it's getting to the time of year when many are planning to spend more time in the sun, be it here or abroad, so it's a good idea for people to make an appointment with their GPs if they have any fears.

And he says people shouldn't be worried about going for a consultation, even if it's just for their own peace of mind: (second clip)
