Harris into last eight

Promising young golfing prospect Emma Harris is through to the quarter-finals of the Bradford & Bingley International Women's Isle of Man Championship.

The eleven year old enjoyed a convincing 5 & 3 success against Alice Leadbeater at Castletown Golf Links in Monday evening's matchplay round.

The results in full:-

Pam Davies beat Shirley Glover at the 21st hole;
Sue Kinrade beat Norma Loundes at the 20th hole;
Jane Gaines beat Heather Skinner 3 & 2;
Christina Skelly beat Ann Gelling 1 up;
Cath Preston beat Helen Corlett 5 & 3;
Joy Morris beat Elaine Taggart 7 & 6;
Ruth Pigott beat Heather McKenna 4 & 2;
Emma Harris beat Alice Leadbeater 5 & 3.

The quarter finals are on Thursday as follows:-

5pm - Pam Davies v Sue Kinrade
5.10pm - Jane Gaines v Christina Skelly
5.20pm - Cath Preston v Joy Morris
5.30pm - Ruth Pigott v Emma Harris
