Anybody who has fancied sitting on a Financial Services Review Committee Panel may have an opportunity to fulfil that ambition.
The government’s Appointments Commission is looking for suitable applicants to get involved, from this November.
The Review Committee looks at licensing decisions made by the Financial Supervision Commission and the Insurance and Pensions Authority.
These include granting, varying, penalising, refusing, renewing, revoking and suspending licences.
At least three advocates are needed, along with a number of lay members with significant experience.
Areas of experience include banking, investment business, funds, insurance and pensions business, accounting, and legal and regulatory procedures.
Information packs are available from the Secretary of the Appointments Commission at Central Government Offices, Douglas.
Alternatively, call 686266 or email appointments.commission@gov.im, and you have until August 20 to complete and return your application.
