Meeting tomorrow over apprentice fears

A meeting tomorrow night will attempt to allay fears in the construction industry about the future of apprentice training.

The DTI says it will stop giving wage subsidies for trainee plumbers and find better ways to use the cash saved.

But companies around the Island say they are worried this might mean small businesses will stop training apprentices.
