Strong six months for Kaupthing Bank

Kaupthing Bank, the parent company of Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander (Isle of Man), has posted strong results for the first six months of the year.

Net earnings for the period were 533 million Euros (?360 million), whilst total assets climbed by 23.3 per cent to 54.3 billion Euros (?36.6 billion) and shareholders’ net earnings increased by 43.8 per cent.

Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander (Isle of Man) Managing Director Aidan Doherty said: ‘This is a particularly robust performance from Kaupthing and we are delighted to have played our part.’
