by isleofman.com 21st August 2007
Manx Road Club cyclist Chris Whorrall has won a silver medal at the British Junior and Youth Track Championships at Newport.

He finished second in the Scratch Race behind Leicestershire's Daniel McLay.

Earlier, he qualified for the final by finishing 4th in heat one.

Another Isle of Man cyclist made it through to the final - Christopher Nicholson came home in 7th place representing Team Scottish Provident.

Unfortunately, Tim Kennaugh didn't make it through after a 11th place finish in heat one.
