Ref pushed to ground at top match

The Isle of Man Football Association has immediately banned Laxey player Neil Brogan after he pushed referee Tony McMeiken to the ground after being sent-off.

The incident happened at the end of yesterday's stormy Sure Mobile Premier League match between St. George's and Laxey at Glencrutchery Road.

In all, there were eight yellow and two red cards shown, with Laxey finishing with just nine players on the pitch.

St. George's Manager Chris Bass says Laxey's behaviour was disgraceful-

Speaking live on Saturday night's Saturday Sport Classified programme on Manx Radio, Laxey Player Manager Rob Sorby apologised for his players conduct, and appealed for referees to have assistants at top games:-
