Isle of Man rider Steve Colley heads the solo field after the first day of the Manx National Two Day Trial, whilst in the sidecar class the crew of Robin Luscombe/Les Ashby lead the way.
Steve actually finished the day on 2 marks lost, which is the same as the second placed rider, and current British Champion Graham Jarvis. Colley leads on countback.
Colley is aiming to win his 12th title on home soil.
Another Manx rider Nigel Crellin is in 6th place.
The sidecar leaders, Luscombe/Ashby are ahead of their main competitors, Robin and Gill Morewood, by only 3 marks so on Sunday the competiton will be fierce to decide the winner.
Top placed local sidecar crew are the father and son pairing of Adrian and Aaron Smith from Douglas in 5th place.
In the supporting solo clubman class, the overnight leader is Darren Wasley from Yorkshire who is a clear leader after only dropping 3 marks. in second place is 2006 winner Jeremy Darlington on 17 marks.
Neil Christian from Douglas is the highest local man here currently lying in 4th place, just 2 marks off 2nd.
Competiton continues from 8am on Sunday starting from the TT Grandstand.
