Age Concern Isle of Man has appointed Jennie Rowlinson office manager and PA to chief executive Penny Creighton.
Ms Rowlinson is responsible for handling the accounts and payroll operations for the charity’s full and part-time staff.
She wil also use her desktop publishing skills to create much of the charity’s design work, as part of Age Concern Isle of Man’s commitment to retain functions in-house wherever possible to keep costs down.
She was with the Isle of Man Constabulary for seven years, including one year as secretary in Castletown, another as PA to the chief constable and four years in the change management unit where she was involved in crime analysis work.
A change of career led to one year working as a PA in the hospitality industry before joining Age Concern.
She said: ‘The work at Age Concern is extremely varied and what particularly appeals is that we all feel we’re contributing to making a difference to people’s lives.’
Ms Rowlinson, who has coached Douglas Rugby Club’s under-sevens, is married with one son and lives in Onchan.
