Fifth win for Roy in MGP

Roy Richardson has won the Manx Grand Prix Junior Classic for the second year running.

He finished 41 seconds ahead of second place Ryan Farquhar, with Chris McGahan third, a further 27 seconds down.

Richardson set a new lap record for the class at 102.79 on his way to a fifth Grand Prix win in ten years.

He told Manx Radio's Chris Kinley it was a great ride (audio file attached):

The Lightweight Classic was won by Euan Hamilton, with a race time of one hour, 36 minutes, 23.79 seconds, an average speed of 93.93 miles per hour.

Peter Richardson was second.

Hamilton says the win was all the more enjoyable as yesterday he didn't know if he would be involved (audio file attached):
