Fake investment company

by isleofman.com 4th September 2007
The Financial Supervision Commission has issued a warning about a fake investment company which claims to be based in Douglas.

Trans World Security Investment says it’s based at Hill Street, but the address it gives is in fact that of Irish Nationwide.

The FSC says no such company is licensed in the Isle of Man for investment business and you shouldn’t have any dealings with it or pay any money.

Although Trans World claims to be licensed, it claims it received its licence from the World Government’s Financial Supervision Commission in 1873!

If you’ve already involved with Trans World and have concerns you can contact the FSC’s Enforcement Division on 689314 or by email to fsc@gov.im.
