Flybe Manx schedules affected

by isleofman.com 13th September 2007
Four ‘Flybe’ flights from the Isle of Man, two to Gatwick and two to Manchester, were delayed today (Wednesday) as safety investigations were carried out into a type of aircraft used by the company.

Bombardier Inc., the world's third-biggest aircraft maker, issued instructions for the grounding of its Dash 8 Q400 planes following a second accident involving that model in a week.

Two of the Dash 8 Q400 turboprop planes, owned by the Scandanavian airline, SAS, have been involved in incidents in which their landing gear collapsed. No-one was hurt.

Flybe has six Dash Q400s.
