Baptism of fire for Nomads

by isleofman.com 23rd September 2007
In the Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield, an experienced Douglas side demolished the newly formed Southern Nomads B.

Johnny Howarth and Mark Shaw both scored their first tries for the side and did so in style with a hat-trick each - Shaw on his debut!

Seb Jeanneau and Neil Cartwright scored two apiece, Lee Maddox, Pat Breggazi and Tony Wilson Spratt were also on target, while long-serving Terry Ditchfield scored his first try for the club.

The experienced Dave Wood showed his ability yet again with nine conversions in an 88-0 rout.

Elsewhere, the newly formed Ramsey B won well, 25-0 at Western Vikings, while Vagabonds B had a good 39-19 victory at Southern Nomads.
