Colby stay out front

by isleofman.com 29th September 2007
Colby maintained their position as leaders of CFS Division Two but were given a battle by Douglas and District before winning 3-1 on Saturday.

Regular scorers Josh Kelly, Marty Moore and James Cain were the Colby marksmen with Jamie Corrin finding the net for D&D, who had held the leaders to the break.

In-form Pulrose were given an equally firm test before second half goals from Chris Cowin and Barry English secured a 2-0 win at Foxdale.

Two goals from Paul Corlett, and one each from Michael Perks, player-manager Nick Hurt and Mark Tully, ensured title favourites Michael got back to winning ways with a 5-0 win at home to Jurby, who can take credit from a battling display, especially during a goalless first half.

Marown edged out Castletown in a five goal contest at Crosby.

Chris Lewin and Paul Bratty, plus an own goal, sealed the points, while Town – who’ve made an encouraging start to the season – saw Mark Thompson and Peter O’Brien find the net yet again.

David Kinrade and Wil Smith were the scorers as Braddan edged out battling Ronaldsway 2-1.

Dave McCabe was the Rockets’ scorer.

In the remaining match, Malew ran out 3-0 home winners over Ramsey Youth Centre.
