Grand Island to be demolished?

Permission is being sought for the demolition of the Grand Island Hotel in Ramsey and the erection of apartments.

The landmark hotel is owned by millionaire Trevor Hemmings who has a home at Ballavoddan in Andreas..
He is behind Seymar Developments, the company who last week unwrapped plans for a 30 bed hotel development , along with 96 apartments between Mooragh Park and the promenade.

Its proposed that the Grand Island would be demolished and 68 apartments put up on the site.
