'Portacabin days are over'

The man behind plans for a new executive jet terminal and aircraft hangar with VIP passenger facilities at Ronaldsway says 'the portacabin days are over'.

Island Aviation and Travel is to partner Isle of Man Airport in raising the 2,800 square metre building.

The site is between the passenger terminal and the aviation museum.

A 50 year lease will see IAAT invest between ?3 million and ?4 million on the project.

Managing Director of Island Aviation, John Critchley, says it reflects the Island's progress in recent years (audio file attached):
