Bacchas A go top

by isleofman.com 20th October 2007
Bacchas A are the new leaders of Mixed Hockey Division One after winning Saturday’s top of the table clash.

They defeated Ramsey A 4-2, thanks to goals from Glen Bloxham-Mundy, Richard Le Page (two) and Karl Moore, to leapfrog their opponents at the summit.

Ollie Webster was one of the scorers for ever-improving Ramsey.

Reigning champions Valkyrs A put their defeat to Ramsey last weekend behind them by thrashing battling Celts 8-0.

Prolific marksman Gareth Morris hit four, Chris Caldwell grabbed a double with Julian Colley and Andrea Kneen adding the others.

Andy Harding (two) and Peter Kelly were the scorers as Falcons edged out Bacchas B 3-2 in an exciting contest.

Sean Corlett and Dave Kneale were the Bacchas’ men on target.

Valkyrs B secured a fine 2-2 draw against Phoenix A to claim their first point of the season.

And it could have been maximum points with Rob Mylchreest and Rob Thomas firing Valkyrs into a 2-0 lead before Jane Ryder and Conor Byrne ensured a Phoenix comeback.
