Rotary thinks about a meetings move

by isleofman.com 23rd October 2007
Douglas Rotary Club are trying out a new approach to their meetings.
If its successful, it will mean moving their meetings to the start of the day.

It will initially be on a trial basis. Normally the Rotarians meet in the evenings or lunchtimes.
The idea is to hold three trial breakfast meetings, the first on Wednesday October 31st at the Hilton Hotel.

Club President Bill Hamilton-Turner says that "busy working people can find the lunchtime or evening meeting time is a barrier to participating. If the breakfast gatherings work, then we will change our meeting schedule accordingly".

Douglas is the island's oldest Rotary club. Rotary raises money for a wide number of local and international projects.
