Former minister given Windy Corner figures

by isleofman.com 31st October 2007
Figures from the Department of Transport suggest Windy Corner has become a much safer stretch of road, since major improvements were completed 19 months ago.

A written reply to a House of Keys question from former Transport Minister Phil Braidwood (pictured) shows there have been two accidents since the work was carried out.

One was vehicle damage only and the other involved minor injuries.

In the five years up to the restyling of the section of the TT course there were 39 accidents, with one fatality and seven classed as serious.
