A 27 year-old drug addict has been jailed for a total of six months.

Robert Alan Brown, of Taubman Terrace, Douglas admitted two offences of possessing heroin, and one of permitting his premises to be used for the smoking of drugs.

Police searched the property last Thursday and found a wrap which contained traces of heroin, as well as drug paraphernalia.

Brown's advocate said he had had a drugs problem from an early age and was addicted to heroin.
