by isleofman.com 2nd November 2007
An Island man left fighting for his life after a vicious attack in Preston is said to be 'improving slightly' in hospital.

Twenty-six year-old Alex Messenger was assaulted in the early hours of September 29.

He had been in a critical but stable condition for several weeks, before being moved out of the critical care ward at the Royal Preston Hospital.

Lancashire police are continuing their inquiries and three men are on bail in connection with the incident.
