5000th visitor to legislative buildings

by isleofman.com 2nd November 2007
The legislative buildings in Douglas have received their 5000th visitor, since re-opening after a multi-million pound refurbishment.

She was Sue Skidmore, the Social Secretary of the Peel City Women's Institute, who was in a group of visitors from the organisation who were shown round the complex.

Speaker of the House of Keys Steve Rodan presented her with a number of gifts, which she received on behalf of the Peel WI.

Mr Rodan says he is delighted so many people have taken the opportunity to have a look at the new building.

The tours are free of charge and can be arranged by ringing 651503.
