House of Keys preview

by isleofman.com 5th November 2007
MHKs will debate a range of issues tomorrow (Tues) when the House meets for the first time this month.

Onchan member Peter Karran will begin Question Time by asking the Chief Minister how much land in the Isle of Man is owned by non-residents and by companies.

Later, he has questions on the apprenticeship scheme and wage levels in the building industry.

The member for Michael, David Cannan, will ask about the cost of providing inspectors at planning appeals over the past three years.

Other issues to be raised include recent price rises in charges for home care and rumoured plans for a cut in spending in the DHSS.
