Ben passenger airlifted

A passenger was air-lifted from the Ben-my-Chree by helicopter this morning (Mon) after falling ill during a crossing.

The person concerned was assessed by a doctor on board the vessel who deemed urgent medical attention was required.

They were taken to Blackpool General Hospital. The patient's current condition isn't known.
