Playtech's new millionaire

A Manx-based online gaming company says it's paid out one of its largest ever jackpots, creating a new millionaire.

Playtech, which designs, develops and licenses software for the gaming industry, announced it had paid out more than ?1.3 million to a customer playing one of its video slot machines.

The man, identified only as Andres V, was playing on a network which combines online, mobile and landbased jackpots at an online casino.

Since its launch the particular slot machine, called Gold Rally, has paid out more than ?15 million to jackpot winners.
