Steam Packet to respond to petition

by isleofman.com 7th November 2007
The Steam Packet Company says it will release a statement, following an internet petition about its new winter schedule.

More than 850 people have now signed up, demanding action from the government and Office of Fair Trading about the changes.

In particular, those behind the petition say they are incensed by the effective end of day trips to Liverpool.

This winter, there will be one sailing to the city on Saturdays, with the Ben my Chree berthing at Birkenhead.

So far, the company hasn’t commented but says it will release a satement soon.
