Manx Airlines reunion planned

by isleofman.com 7th November 2007
The party list is being drawn-up for what may be the last-ever reunion of former Manx Airlines staff.

November 1 marked the 25th anniversary of the company's formation, and a big get-together to celebrate the landmark will take place early in the new year.

In its heyday, 650 people worked for Manx Airlines, making it the Island's biggest employer, and many former staff hold fond memories of working there.

Organisers say anyone who ever worked for the company will be welcome at the reuniuon on January 25.

Former Chief Executive Terry Liddiard says running all the company's operations, including the engineering department, 'in-house' was the key to its success (audio file attached):

Terry Liddiard was speaking to Dan Davies on Talking Heads.

If you want to take part in the reunion, email: 25yrs@manx.net).

Manx Airlines was bought by British Airways in 2002.
