Woman 'stable' after helicopter rescue

by isleofman.com 7th November 2007
A woman is in a stable condition in Blackpool's Victoria Hospital, a day after falling ill while on board the Ben my Chree, and being air-lifted from the vessel.

The decision to call out a helicopter was taken after an assessment of the woman's condition by a doctor, who was fellow passenger.

The woman, whose name hasn't been released, has been moved to a general ward and was due to be seen by a consultant for further assessment this afternoon.

The pictures of the rescue were taken by a Manx Radio listener.
