Immigration evidence

by isleofman.com 7th November 2007
A number of people from the Department of Health and Social Security will give evidence about immigration today (Wed).

A Tynwald Select Committee on immigration was formed following a call from Rushen MHK Quintin Gill.

The issue was raised a number of times during last year's general election, and Mr Gill (pictured) felt the matter required detailed examination.

DHSS Director Ken Crellin and Director of Strategy and Performance Norman McGregor Edwards will be among those giving evidence this morning.

Proceedings will begin at 10.30 in the Millennium Room in the Legislative Buildings, and members of the public are welcome to attend.
