Hospice benefits from MT efforts

by isleofman.com 13th December 2007
Manx Telecom says it raised all of the ?50,000 it pledged in support of the Isle of Man's new Hospice, two months ahead of target.

The amount was reached a week before the Hospice's official opening and was the result of staff activities and events.

The sum has been matched by donations of practical skills and services, all of which have gone towards providing the new Hospice with a state of the art communications infrastructure.

Manx Telecom is also contributing to the view from the new building. For every mobile handset brought into the Manx Telecom shop for recycling, the company has made a donation towards a tree planting scheme, and most of the trees are now in place and flourishing.
