New record for MEA

The demand for electricity in the Isle of Man has reached its highest level ever!

The MEA says the record was reached on Monday evening, when demand reached 91.2 mega watts.

The previous record was 87.4MW, in December 2005.

Chief Executive Ashton Lewis (pictured) says the peak was around 5.30pm:
