Minister reports successful first year

by isleofman.com 24th January 2008
The Isle of Man Aircraft Registry is celebrating after signing up three times the aircraft it expected in its first year.

After nine months, 37 aircraft have already registered, although staff predicted only twelve aircraft would sign up in the first year.

The aim of the register is to give new opportunities to the Island’s financial and legal sectors and its success has already seen new Isle of Man companies being established to operate aircraft.

Trade and Industry Minister David Cretney says the growth has been significantly beyond expectations.
