Livestock and fouridated water fears

Rushen MHK Quintin Gill wants to know whether the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has considered what putting fluoride in the water would do to livestock.

In the House of Keys tomorrow he will ask Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne whether the department is concerned about the possibility of fluoridation.

Mr Gill (pictured) also wants to know whether DAFF has its own policy on the suggestion.

He says there are indications elsewhere that animals which have drunk fluoridated water have suffered ill-effects:
