DAFF's flouridation concerns

The Agriculture Minister says his department does have concerns about the possibility of the Island's water supply being fluoridated.

Phil Gawne told the House of Keys tests were being carried out on older cattle to find out how much of the additive they had absorbed from other sources during their lifetimes.

Mr Gawne (pictured) was responding to a question from fellow Rushen MHK Quintin Gill, who also wanted to know if DAFF had a fluoridation policy.

The minister said his department's approach reflected concerns he had already outlined:
