It’s time to face the looming global oil shortage with some practical action.
That’s the view of Transition Isle of Man, a new organisation made up of local environmentalists, business people, politicians and members of the public.
Steering group member Alice Quayle (pictured) says the Island has the natural resources and independence to tackle its dependence on imported fossil fuels.
She says the technology is available, and the whole community must embrace the need to develop renewable energy alternatives, and boost local food production (audio file attached):
