Man appears on blackmail charge

A 26 year-old Douglas man has appeared before the High Bailiff, charged with blackmail.

Christopher Paul Gillies, of Belmont Terrace is also accused of threatening death or serious injury, assault causing actual bodily harm and being unlawfully involved in the supply of drugs.

Bail was set at ?1,000 and the case was adjourned until April 1.
